Currently I work at Queen Elizabeth’s Community College, Crediton, Devon.

My background includes wide experience as a network administrator for both commercial and academic settings.

As a Senior IT Engineer I function mainly as the Winows and Apple System Administator. Day-to day support includes Active Directory Windows 2000/2003, Mac OS X Open Directory Master, Exchange Server 2000/2003 and Application Server for over 2500 users, 750 curriculum PC’s, 60 Apple Macs and 150 laptops across 2 sites. As a Community College our Team support 12 local primary schools.

APPLE MAC OS PLATFORM

Systems: Mac OS X 10.4 Server (Apple Open Directory), Mac OS X Panther, Tiger and Leopard – Installation and Maintenance

Software: Apple Remote Desktop 2.2 and 3.1, iLife '05/'06/’08, iWork '05/'06/’08, Macromedia Studio for Mac, Parallels Desktop, Boot Camp and Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac.

MICROSOFT WINDOWS PLATFORM

Systems: Windows Server 2000 and 2003 (Windows Active Directory), Exchange Server 2003, Windows Proxy Server 2.0, ISA 2006 Server, Windows 95/98SE/2000/ME/XP Home and Professional Edition/Vista Business - Installation and Maintenance.

Network: Installation, configuration and maintenance of LAN (Local Area Network), TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP; setting up and maintaining of wireless network.

Hardware: Building and repairing PCs, repairing laptops, PDAs, and Apple Mac computers (both laptops and desktops), dealing with data projectors and smart- and whiteboards, fixing and supporting both inkjet and laser printers (KonikaMinolta and HP network printers); installing and maintenance switches Netgear, DLink and HP.
